How to Refill Your Pen

Below are instructions for replacing ink cartridges for pens we make. If you do not see instructions for your pen, please contact us for assistance.

We sell refills for most of our pens. Please visit our online store to purchase pen refills.

Slimline or Funline Ballpoint Pen

  1. Pull apart the top and bottom sections of the pen
  2. Unscrew the black plastic end from the lower portion of the pen.
  3. Insert and tighten a new Cross-Compatible ink refill.
  4. Push top and bottom sections back together.

Vertex Click or Gatsby Pen

  1. Unscrew bottom and top sections
  2. Pull out cartridge, along with spring from bottom portion of the pen.
  3. Insert new Parker-Compatible refill into pen with spring you removed from old ink cartridge.
  4. Place top and bottom together and tighten into place.

Steampunk or Celtic Pen

  1. Unscrew bottom of pen (portion near pen tip).
  2. Pull out cartridge, along with spring (if present) from bottom portion of the pen.
  3. Insert new Parker-Compatible refill into pen with spring (if present) you removed from old ink cartridge.
  4. Replace bottom and tighten into place.

Panache or Vertex Magnetic Pen

  1. Unscrew bottom and top sections
  2. Pull out cartridge from bottom portion of the pen.
  3. Insert new Schneider Topball 850 or Schmidt 888 refill into pen.
  4. Place top and bottom together and tighten into place.

Majestic Jr. Pen

  1. Unscrew bottom and top sections
  2. Pull out cartridge, along with spring from bottom portion of the pen.
  3. Insert new Schmidt 5888 refill into pen with spring you removed from old ink cartridge.
  4. Place top and bottom together and tighten into place.

Fountain Pen

  Cartridge

  1. Unscrew the nib assembly.
  2. Remove the ink cartridge from the nib assembly and discard. Replace with a new cartridge.
  3. Before reassembling, try writing with the nib assembly. It may take a few moments before the ink begins to flow. If the ink does not begin to flow, gently squeeze the sides of the ink cartridge and try again.
  4. Once the nib assembly begins to write, screw it back into the pen body.

 Converter

  1. Unscrew the nib assembly.
  2. Insert the converter into the backend of the nib assembly.
  3. Turn the shank counter clockwise until the piston is all the way down.
  4. Immerse the tip of the nib into an ink bottle.
  5. Turn the shank clockwise to draw ink into the converter.
  6. Once full, remove the nib from the ink bottle and clean with a soft cloth.
  7. Screw the nib assembly back into the pen body.
